Photo Shoot Preparation 101

Here are some clothing guidelines to follow. It will help a great deal but remember the main thing is to relax and have fun!  You are in good hands! It is better to have too much at the shoot than not enough so bring a lot of clothes and don't forget to bring shoes and hosiery and other accessories.

Don't forget to get a good night's sleep the night before.

ACTORS
Think Spring – fun, casual, bold colors.  Avoid solid white, wild patterns and logos!  Gap, Banana Republic and Abercrombie and Fitch are good examples. Think layers!
MODELS
Your goal is to have the pictures on your comp card mimic ads you would find in fashion magazines.  Think VogueGQEsquireSeventeen and YM.  Keep it trendy, simple, and be creative!  Study magazines to duplicate styles. Try to create 3 looks: casual (Gap, Abercrombie), upscale casual (Banana Republic), and upscale (Bebe, Kenneth Cole, Express).  Create outfits you are comfortable in and that are flattering to your figure.  Have fun with it!
CHILDREN
Choose fun clothing with bright colors.  Ad examples:  Gap, Old Navy, Target, and the Sunday newspaper.  Themes are important!
